Re: Recommendations for dog training

Doogie's adopted family used Julia at Spot On K9 Sports of South Elgin, Illinois.
Her information is: www.spotonk9s.com Julia Lane 630. 945 .1437
They had good results and Julia loved Doogie! Having fostered him, I would have to say, who wouldn't?

Re: supplies needed for a new dog

That is a good point about stainless steel bowls. I was using plastic bowls that came with my elevated feeding station. My yellow lab developed gunk around his mouth. As it turns out he had 3 different bacteria growing around his mouth. One of the bacteria was hard to get rid of and it took a $150 a...

Re: Kingston - Updated!

I am Kingston's foster mom. He is a great dog. He does not like going into the crate, but goes in with a little push. But I have been leaving him out of the crate today and yesterday while being gone for 4 or 5 hours. He was fine. I have a 12 year old lab and Kingston gets along with him fine. He lo...

Re: McGuire

Gabriella, I am McGuire's foster mom. He had a visit potential family visit this weekend and is being adopted. The family adopting him has been on our list for awhile. And even though he is a great dog, we have plenty of great dogs; that is the beauty of a rescue organization. I am sure in the not t...

Re: McGuire

He is great with kids. it is just that the kids had not been around dogs much and when you have this head as big as you are staring in your eyes and giving you a gentle kiss, it was a bit initmidating. He is very gentle. Plus I think they were really looking for a little smaller lab.

Re: McGuire

Eva, If you turned in your application and it has been a month, then I think something is wrong. Did you get an email or some confirmation saying that your application was sent successfully? Where do you live? sometimes we have areas which take longer to get a volunteer to go there, but I think a mo...

Re: McGuire

McGuire is a sweet old guy indeed. Even though he is Mr Energy outside, he really settles down inside the house. When I first got him he had an infection and was in low gear. Now he is much more antimated, loves to watch people walking in the park behind the house, and now dances in the kitchen befo...
