Who out there is craving a dollop of chocolate? Well, look no further, here I am! I’m Cindy Sue and I hail from Arkansas y’all, where I was found as a stray. I’m a chocolate Lab mix, about 9 months old, and I weigh about 40 pounds. Yes, I’m an older puppy, but don’t you worry, I still have plenty of puppiness left in me! And although I’m still growing, I won’t get too much bigger than what I am now, which is just fine by me, ‘cause I’m the perfect size for sitting on laps, which I love to do. I’m a sporty, active gal who enjoys playing fetch, running around, etc., so a home with a big fenced yard, or someone looking for a running partner, or maybe a doggie daycare nearby where I could go would be best. I’m also super fast and agile, so I’d totally be up for agility or another dog sport if that’s your thing. I’m a feisty, fun girl, but I’m also super sweet and loving, and give awesome hugs and kisses. I’m a big fan of other dogs, including my two foster fur siblings (8 and 3 year old Labbies) and my friends at doggie day care. I love the kitties here in my foster home, but maybe just a little bit too much... I just want to play with them, but I’m told that not all cats are like the one here who thinks he’s a dog and likes to play bitey face with me, so unless you have one of those, I might not be the best bet for your feline friends. I love people of all ages, but since I am still a bit jumpy, and I’ve been known to be naughty and snatch things I want out of people’s hands, it might be best if there aren’t any of those super tiny humans in my new home.
When I first got to my foster home, my foster mom started home schoolin’ me right away since I was really behind in my learnin’. Turns out, I’m danged smart! I’m learnin’ all kinds of things here, like what toys are for (wow, they are really fun to play with!), to not be pushy and nip at my furry foster sister’s face while playing, that pottying is supposed to be done outside and not inside, that I’m more likely to get what I want when I sit vs. jump up on people or the counter, and that I’m not supposed to pull my foster mom’s sweatpants down to her knees outside on a walk, even if I was just going for the treats in her pocket (I also learned a curse word that day!). You know, a lot of the basics. And while I’m still a work in progress on all of these things, I’m definitely getting there! Plus, I’m super crazy food motivated so I’m always up for training as I’m happy to work for even the littlest of treats.
So, now who wants a nice sweet bit of chocolate?
