Hi there! My name is Badger and I am a 2 year old male chocolate Lab mix. My foster mom says that I am very sweet and she just adores me. I have an interesting history. I ended up at a kill-shelter and they called the phone number on my tags, which was the number for my breeder. He came to pick me up but when he saw me he said I was from a "bad batch" and he just took my collar and left me there. It turns out that he breeds Labrador Retrievers and also breeds Brittany spaniels. I can't say for sure, but I think that I was the result of a secret rendezvous between one of the Labs and one of the Brittanys. That would explain the fact that my fur is longer than a typical Lab, and I am very fluffy. Everyone who sees me comments on how handsome I am. My coat is a beautiful shade of brown with gold and red highlights, and it is silky soft. I have a face that could melt your heart. Fortunately MLRR rescued me from the shelter and now I am enjoying life in my foster home. I am housebroken and I don't need to be crated while my foster mom is at work because I am well behaved in the house. I love to run in the yard but I am calm in the house. I get along great with the two female Labs that I live with, but I am not good with cats, so I'll be best in a home without any. I have been around a 3 year old boy in my foster home and I am very good and gentle with him. I was treated for heartworm infection, but I have completed the treatment and I'm doing great. I would love to find a permanent home of my own with someone who loves me for who I am, fluffy fur and all.
