My name is Sunny and I'm a sweetheart! I'm about 5-7 years old and weigh 90 pounds so I guess you can say I'm a big girl. I was a stray but since I have curves, I wasn't wandering around for long. My foster mom thinks I would be best in a home with kids over 5 years old. I get along very well with my 11 year old foster brother. I also really like the human kids here. I love to go for walks. I'm a good walker since I don't pull, but I love to sniff along the way. I also like to meet new dogs. I like to chew hard toys like kongs and rawhide bones. I destroy stuffed toys in a matter of minutes. I'm housetrained and have free run of my foster home. I'm a fast eater, but I'm not food possesive. I'm being treated for some minor medical problems. I have a urinary tract infection and my ears are being cleaned twice a day. I do have allergies and the cause of which are unknown. I tend to lick my paws alot. I have good manners as I sit, give paw and take treats very gently. I give kisses freely and love to be scratched. Won't you please make your home my forever home? I can't wait to meet you!

I have a 11 year old yellow lab "gus" rescued in 2003 from a home that tkept him locked in their mud room (ugh!) he is a sweetheart & dear,I just lost my rescued ( 1999 rescued from Guardian angel basset hound rescue") Bassett hound "Annabelle" 2 weeks ago( poor thing ...she had lung cancer )and Gus and I are missing her a whole lot. We think Sunny would be perfect for us.

I have a fenced yard with a locked gate , I live in a house in Glen Ellyn Illlinois..and when I can't walk him ( I am a realtor with odd hours, by the way, that's how I discovered Gus) I have 2 dog walkers that walk Gus..... My vet is Dr Carlson at the Village animal clinic 630-690-9191...

Hi Corinne - Thanks for your interest in Sunny. Have you filled out an adoption application yet? That is the first step towards adopting a Lab from MLRR. After that you will need to have a home visit done. Let me know where you are in the process and I will help you along the way. Thanks!
