I wanted to give an update on Cocoa. She came to us on March 13th and we didn't know much about her at that time other than she was an owner surrender due to her owner being pregnant with triplets. Cocoa's write up was done by my 10 year old daughter. When she got home from school on the 14th she sat down and wrote it because she wanted to make sure Cocoa got posted ASAP so she could find her new home. Now that Cocoa has been with us for a little over a week we can add some details to the initial bio. Since coming to us Cocoa has really blossomed. She is very lively for 11. Due to her elbow dysplasia her activity is limited so she can't run or play fetch. However, she does move around very well. She likes to search and sniff the backyard when she goes outside. She has gone upstairs to our bedrooms and downstairs to the basement although we try to prevent her from doing too many stairs. She plays some with our two labs and loves to roll on her back to get her belly scratched. While tomorrow is never promised, Cocoa seems like she has a few good years left in her. Other than the elbow dysplasia, Cocoa is very healthy. All she needs now to complete her story is that special adopter who will give her a loving home in her golden years.
