Loved meeting Yuletide at Happy Dog yesterday! What a sweet guy! Sam enjoyed hanging out with him for a bit while the humans chatted! Hope he finds a great home soon - he deserves to be spoiled!

Hi, we just filled out our application and were wondering if Yuletide is still available for adoption? Thanks.

Is Yuletide still looking for a forever home ? I have not seen an updated post in a while so I was just checking.

Thank you for your reply....and I am not trying to be rude.....but can I ask what is going on that he is still looking or a forever home...I have seen alot of people on here who have filled out apps...seen him and yet he is still available ? Is the adoption process that stringent that all the other people have been denied or is something else going on ? Again....I am so not trying to be rude...but he looks so cute and sweet and from all your other posts it seems like he would've been adopted ages ago...so I was just wondering.

This is Yule's foster mom - he was kind of on hold for a while - he was very scared of new people. Not aggressive at all, but tail tucked, shaking and hiding under a desk. It took time to slowly get him used to new environments but he's made tremendous progress in the last month! I can tell he's still scared when someone new comes up to him, but Yule is actually going to meet them (he's learned that strangers=yummy treats) letting his desire for affection overcome his fear. Other than that, we've had some people that seemed like a good match but they want a very active dog (and Yule's loving the couch potato life). Yule runs & jumps & goes for walks no problem, but I don't think he'll ever be someone's jogging buddy. He's super affectionate, gets along with other dogs & my cat, seems to LOVE kids. Yep, he's ready to meet his forever family!

Would love to know more about this fella! Can you tell me more about his temperament and socialability with other dogs?

Yule is pretty laid back. He's happy just to lay next to the couch or sleep under the kitchen table. He's happiest when he's getting some scratches & ear rubs. He's been good with other dogs. While he & my dog aren't really buddies who wrestle & play all the time, they get along just fine. Yuletide's had no issues with meeting other dogs. He's more interested in the people who are at the other end of the leash.

Would Yu be a good match for us? We are approved, have a cat, one college age child and would be able to take him for walks to work on his walking on the leash. We would have a trainer come to work with him or take him to class.Does he do okay inthe house alone or do you ever crate him?Can he do stairs ok? Thanks,Barb
