I am a 5 month old yellow lab mix. I am well adjusted as I have a shattered left rear femur that was left to heal that way but I am using it the best I can right now. I had this fracture when I was found and MLRR saved me from a shelter. I was taken to a specialist that said my leg has become so calloused that at this point it would take me backwards in my healing so no surgery for me. Yippee! I will always have a limp as they are not sure if that bone will grow to what length or not at all. My suggested weight when full grown is around 90lbs, so if you are looking for a housebroken, limpy, fun loving puppy that is in the teething stage then I might be the gorgeous boy for you. Oh, if you are worried about my leg - don't be - I use it to help me get around and I will get pain meds as needed for the next 3-4 wks and the specialist said I should be healed in the next 3-4 months. I play with the other dogs here but just can't play rough yet. I know it will take a very special family that wants a large beautiful dog in the making with a constant limp - are you that family to take me home???

Jag is beautiful. Can you give more detail on Jag's healing? Is he healing from the original accident or did the doctor try to repair it and he is healing from that? How is Jag with other dogs? cats? My current lab was born with a deformed front leg so I am partial to dogs with disabilities.
