Jake - ADOPTED

Hello,

I am wondering if Jake is still available and if you are able to release the information on the kennel that he came from? I think he might be my dog's brother... looks just like the Jake from the kennel where we got our labs, and is the right age with the same neurological issue that our dog has... please email me at the address below if you can share any information.

Any info would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Sara

Hi there,

Jake is still available! :D I am unsure of where he came from but I will look in to it and get back to you for sure. If you are interested in Jake and have not yet filled out an application online, please do so and then we can schedule a home visit.

Thanks so much and I will be sure to look in to this and get back to you.

Thanks, Kris

Thanks, Kris! I've been on pins and needles since I saw his picture - the more research I've done, the more I feel like this is the Jake I know! I did fill out the adoption application and put the details of why I'm interested in Jake in the additional information section, as well as sent a very long email to the main MLRR email address. I hate to be such a bother, but I've become completely obsessed with finding out if he's my dog's brother - and after talking to my husband yesterday, we remembered that he is also likely my other dogs sire!! Really hoping it's him! :)

Thanks again for getting back to me - I look forward to hearing more!

This would be such a cool story if it ends up turing out that Jake is your dog's brother! I can't wait to hear what happens.

For those of you following... :) It looks like this is the Jake I remember!! Can't believe it - am so excited... now we just have to hope that the adoption process goes smoothly and I'll have my dog family together! He's not only my oldest dog's brother, but he's my youngest dog's dad!! SO excited!

I keep checking for updates on Jake!!! Did you get to meet him and are things going to work out? I want to know how the dogs react when they first see each other! I bet they will remember one another!

We're waiting to get our home visit scheduled - nothing so far... I know these processes take time, but I'm getting pretty anxious! :) I'll definatly post what happens, though - keep your fingers crossed for us!

Hi, folks. I think Sara gave you my name and cell # if you need a quick reference for my elder-dog mentor (we have a 12-year old chocolate). Call any time you need to.

I'm in Grayslake - talked to a volunteer this morning that is coming out this evening to do the home visit, so it shouldn't be long now!
