Ok - good! Grayslake is far from me so I'm glad it worked out! I'm in Brookfield. This story just makes me so happy!

So, what happened with the meet? I have been following your story and have been waiting to here. My family was going to adopt Jake back in December but we decided we had too many stairs.

@rcurtiss2 - the home visit went well - that was just on Monday. We're waiting to hear from the foster family to schedule a time for Jake to come visit. If that goes well, then that's it! :) Regarding the stairs, we stopped letting our dogs upstairs a couple years ago because of their age and various physical handicaps, so it works out ok for us. I'll be sure to post pics once everything works out.

Truley Jake is a wonderful dog, if his new current potential adopters are posting about him AND as well as past interested family - who had the well-being of Jake at the for-front!

Funny how things work out! I think it's fate!! Keep us all updated! We are rooting for him! :D

I can't wait to hear the outcome and see pictures! You should video the reunion and put it on the web. That would be neat! Thanks for the update!

Hello All!
I wanted to share the good news that Jake is now with us in his permanent home. :) We got confirmation from the medical records that this is, indeed, our Jake. He is settling in well and I'll be sending pics to the rescue group, so hopefully they will get posted on the site. Thank you to everyone that followed Jake's story and was so concerned about his welfare. It's uncany how much he looks like our Casper - I almost fell over the first time they stood next to each other and perked their ears up! Pic's coming soon!
Have a great evening,
Sara

I am so glad that Jake is with you now! I can rest easy knowing that he was placed in a great home. I was really feeling guilty that we didn't take him. Now I know the reason. I can't wait to see the pictures! :D

I am just so thrilled that Jake is "home" with relatives! Jake has been one of my favorite dogs, knowing him from years ago, and I have followed his process, and just tickled pink he is home. I am sure he will spend the rest of his life being a happy boy, who is treated like a king.
@ the person who lives in Brookfield - didn't I stop by your house with paperwork?
