While a lady never tells her age, I'll tell you I am 10 and proud of it! I guarantee you'll be surprised when you meet me. I'm looking for an active senior living situation, not a nursing home. My story is sad because my family divorced and I fell between the cracks. Now I have a foster home and I fit right in! The kids here don't realize that I always had a home and a family. I let them think they are teaching me new tricks because they give me treats but I already know how to sit, stay, lay down, and shake. And you should see me retrieve a ball! Compared to me, the other two dogs here (who are younger than me, by the way) are lazy because I am always the one to get the ball. I have always paid attention to my girlish figure and it won't surprise you that I only weigh 65 pounds. I have great manners and always ask to go outside when I need to, I don't chew things or sneak food. Honestly, I just want a place where I can live out my golden years. I'll be a great companion! Come and meet me. I just know we'll have a lot in common!

Hi Abby's foster family,

We are a MLRR approved for adoption family. We are looking for a companion for our 12 yr old lab, Lex. Lex's 15 year old lab sister died in January and Lex is very lonely. We initially thought that we wanted a younger dog to liven up the house, but now we think that a senior-ish female might be a better fit. Please let us know if you feel that our home might be the right forever home for Abby. Ann & Jon L.

Jon and Ann, I will let our placement coordinator know of your interest. My labs are 9 and 8 and they all get along really well.
