Hi Mary,
I just wanted to make it clear (don't think I have before) but just because I tell the placement coordinator of your interest does not mean that the foster families will actually contact you. We have about 30 other approved families also waiting for their new friends, so we try to match families who have waited longer first. Furthermore, if you are contacted, it may not be for Emerson, but for another dog that the placement coordinator thinks correctly matches your doggie wants. Do not be discouraged! All of the dogs on our website are fantastic and if you are called about any of them, it is because we truly believe that your family and the dog are a match for each other.

In order to adopt, there is a process that is required by MLRR that does take some time. You will need to fill out the application (found on our website), have a home visit, and then be approved. If you need any help or have any questions, please feel free to let me know.
