Midwest Labrador Retriever Rescue, MLRR, is an all volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to finding loving, permanent homes for unwanted or abandoned Labrador Retrievers. All rescued Labs are placed in foster homes where they can be evaluated for temperament and level of training before being adopted.
Hi. I'm Jack - a big, loving, senior Lab. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I lost my place to live, but the great people here at MLRR made sure that I didn't spend any time in a shelter. I'm 10 1/2 years old, so a shelter would have been too scary for me! But don't let my age scare you - I'm a happy, active senior. My foster mom keeps telling me I've got quite a lot of zip in my step for an "old guy". I also love everything & everybody. I have 2 foster Lab siblings (they're couch potatoes) and we get a long just fine. There's also a kitty here and I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE kitties. We were introduced to each other through a gate and after a few days my foster mom felt I could be trusted to go into the kitty's room and I was a perfect gentleman. Now I get to go say hi several times a day and the kitty comes running up to say hi and rub against me. I also got to meet a hedgehog! She's pretty cool, but I wouldn't want to rub up against her.
